How to get to Salento Airport by Train

Salento Airport just outside of Brindisi in southern Italy does not have a train station or train transfers available. There is however a Railway station in central Brindisi located only a few km/mi from the airport. Options available for transferring from the airport are rental cars, taxis and buses.

Trains at Brindisi Airport

While there is no train transfer option at the airport, the Brindisi Railway Station offers train connections with both minor and major cities in Italy.

The range of trains stopping at the railway station varies from regional services to InterCity and even Eurostar trains.

The regional and local services stop at all or most stations found along the routes they frequent while the Eurostar and InterCity are mostly express services that are high speed and only stop at a few locations along the way.

To transfer from the airport to the railway station it is easy to take the airport shuttle that departs the airport every 30-45 minute from early morning to around midnight as they stop at the railway station or an official taxi from the taxi rank outside the arrivals hall.
